Goals

Goals are essential to a healthy lifestyle. They help you achieve what you want in a timely manner. Yes, hard work and focus is needed. Obviously, the goal is important to you or it wouldn't be a goal. It's also great motivation.
I thought senior year would be easy. So far, its seemed really stressful, and its only the first week. Anyway, by setting goals, it will make my life easier and set the steps I will take to achieve everything. I'm a Color Guard Head Captain this year. My first goal is to throw a six on my rifle. In other words, it needs to do six revolutions in the air before I catch it. No, the rifle doesn't actually have the capability to shoot anything. Also, I need to pass Algebra 2 with  Trigonometry in order to be admitted to the colleges I would like to apply. Math is my bad subject. Everyone has one, some people have about 4 bad subjects that they have to overcome. My second goal is to pass it. I'm being realistic. I will not be getting an A or anything, I just want to pass it. So, I will need to practice everyday. I need to do all of my homework, and practice my rifle work. So, sleep is a no-no this year.
It's hard to think about life after college. Getting into a college is my first priority this semester. My goal is to graduate with a Master's in Secondary Education.  I would like to be a high school English teacher in six to eight years. I really want to be a color guard instructor, but in order to make myself a little bit easier to be employed by the Board of Education, I will be an English teacher and instruct the guard during my planning period. So, in order to achieve this goal, I need to buckle down and study during college in order to graduate on time. Also, my resume will have to be stellar so I will be hired. Teaching at a school where you have to walk through a metal detector to enter the building is not where I want my degree to take me.
Half the time I can't even think about what I want for dinner that night, let alone think about things I want to achieve by the time I retire. I would like to live a long and prosperous life. Having a fulfilling career is important. Also, I would like to have a family and maybe some cute, little grandkids. In order to have a fulfilling career, I'm going to have to attend and graduate from college.
I have many goals in my life that are extremely important to me. Its hard to think that in nine months I will be a high school graduate. You can want to achieve things all day, but hard work is essential in order to achieve them. My goals are important to me, therefore, I will put in the work I need to achieve them.
